Debug logging provides low-level diagnostic information when normal event logs are insufficient.
Before enabling it
- Verify source and status.
- Check DNS.
- Check UDP 123.
- Review the System and Operational event logs.
Enable logging by following the current Microsoft guidance rather than copying historic registry settings.
Disable debug logging when finished to avoid unnecessary log growth.
